Our story

Orrery Consulting

Orrery Consulting was founded by a father and son who between them brought decades of experience from the consulting practices of Deloitte, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Commerzbank Group. They established the firm with a clear view of the shifts already underway in the global economy: the free movement of goods, services and capital could no longer be assumed, and companies would increasingly need to balance the advantages of international scale with the reliability of more resilient operating models.

In its early years the firm concentrated on market entry and market access projects, helping clients expand into new territories and introduce products across borders. The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic confirmed the founders’ assessment. Demand rose sharply, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector, where Orrery supported regulatory projects for companies developing testing equipment and medicines.

As the acute phase of the pandemic receded, successive geopolitical shocks and supply-chain disruptions reinforced the same lesson. Resilience could no longer be treated as an optimisation exercise within existing structures. Many organisations needed to rethink how their global operations were designed, governed and executed.

Today Orrery advises decision makers on the practical work of running and adapting international businesses in this era. We measure our contribution by the durability of the results we help create, not by the volume of recommendations delivered. That is the standard we apply to every engagement.
